Dear All,
Congratulations to all of the students and adults participating in the 15th annual Cherry Creek Diversity Conference.
This is an amazing opportunity for students to sit down with each other and discuss the issues impacting their ability and their fellow student’s ability to achieve their dreams in the classroom. No one knows the current barriers impacting students’ everyday lives better than the young people moving through the public education system today.
This year’s theme "Be the Ripple in the World," captures the power each individual has to change the current state of our society. Discussing the issue of diversity is not easy but is necessary to keep improving our great country. America is built on the respect our citizens display for the differences between us. I have no doubt some thoughtful, creative solutions are going to emerge from the work being done at this conference and I encourage everyone to participate in the interesting discussions that will take place.
Again, many thanks to all who have contributed to this year’s conference, and a special thanks to the executive board composed of students, who worked together to make today possible.
